These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the OweYou mobile application (the "app"). By using OweYou, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
OweYou helps groups of people track shared expenses and calculate who owes whom. It is a convenience tool for organizing informal expenses between people who trust each other.
You sign in using your Google account or an email address and password. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to use the app in your country.
You own the expense data you enter. You are responsible for its accuracy and for having the right to share information about other people you add to your groups. By adding members, you confirm you may share the relevant details with them.
OweYou's balances and settlement suggestions are informational estimates to help you organize expenses. They are not financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice, and the app does not process, hold, or transfer any money. Always verify amounts before settling with real payments. You are solely responsible for any actual payments you make.
The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OweYou and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any disputes between users about money, arising from your use of the app.
You may stop using OweYou and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated Terms.
